It is in the milkweed family Apocynaceae, native to Southeast Asia, Australia, and various islands of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Ochrosia is a genus of phanerogams of the Apocynaceae family . It is native to the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean . 1 Includes 69 species described and of these, only 43 accepted. The genre was described by Antoine-Laurent de Jussieu and published in Genera Plantarum 144-145. 1789.
