Description
Crinum purpurascens is a herbaceous plant belonging to the family Amaryllidaceae . It is native to Africa . It is an aquatic plant with a small, narrow, ovoid bulb with many long, fibrous roots. It produces at least 20 leaves, submerged, in the form of ribbons, membranous, 90 cm long, and 3 to 5 cm wide. The inflorescence with perianth and stamens as in Crinum natans Herb., But less thick.
