Description
Amarcrinum is a notogénero plant bulbous belonging to the family of Amaryllidaceae with showy flowers resembling those of the lilies ( Lilium ). It is the product of the intergeneric cross between Amaryllis species(in general, A. belladona ) and Crinum speciesthat act as male progenitors. The various species obtained in this way are sexually sterile but can propagate vegetatively from their bulbs.
