We’re excited to announce that our annual PlantSnap photo contest is almost here. This is your chance to showcase your photography skills, share your love for nature, and possibly win a cash prize.

How to Enter

Entering the contest is simple. Just submit a post in the PlantSnap community with the hashtag #photocontest, and your photo will be entered. There’s no limit to how many times you can participate, so feel free to share as many of your amazing shots as you’d like. Each post with the hashtag counts as a separate submission, increasing your chances of winning.

Submission Guidelines

To ensure your entry is eligible, please remember:

• Original Photos Only: All photos must be original and taken by you. Stock images or photos taken by others are not allowed.
• Quality Matters: While we appreciate all levels of photography, higher quality photos will have a better chance of winning.
• Caption Required: Every photo must include a caption.
• Bonus Points: Users who identify their plant photo and tag their location will receive extra consideration.

Judging Criteria

We’ll be selecting the best photos based on a few key criteria:

• Photo Quality: Clarity, composition, and creativity are important.
• Engagement: The number of likes and comments your post receives will also be taken into consideration. Encourage your friends and community members to engage with your post!
• Additional Details: Identifying the plant and tagging the location can give your submission an edge.

Weekly and Monthly Prizes

We will be running photo contests for five weeks this summer! Each week, members of the PlantSnap community can vote for their favorite photos. The winner each week will receive $250. At the end of five weeks, all weekly champions will compete in a Tournament of Champions. PlantSnap users will then vote for the top photo of the summer, and the grand prize winner will receive $1,000!
